Vor Jahren habe ich noch sorglos fast täglich eine Tüte Fruchtgummi verdrückt, während ich mit dem Auto von der Arbeit heimfuhr sowie nicht selten mit meinem Mann gemütlich am Abend eine beachtliche Menge Kirschlikörpralinen vernascht. Als dann mein ältester Sohn folgenschwer verunglückte, im Rollstuhl landete, eine normale Verdauung für ihn ein Problem wurde, begann ich mich nach und nach immer intensiver mit der Ernährung zu befassen. Welch tiefgreifende Veränderungen dies für mein Leben mit sich bringen würde, war mir anfangs in keiner Weise bewusst. Klar, dass zu viel Zucker, um den es hier in erster Linie geht, ungesund sei, das hatte man mir bereits gesagt als ich noch in den Kinderschuhen steckte. Was jedoch für eine wirkliche Gefahr hinter diesem Zuckerkonsum steckt, ist mir erst nach und nach bewusst geworden. Als ich mich immer tiefer in das Gebiet der Ernährung hineinarbeitete, wurde mir immer banger und die Wut auf die Zuckerlobby größer. Die Machenschaften dieser sind verbrecherisch, denn sie forderten und fordern bis heute weltweit viele Krankheiten, damit Leid bis zum vorzeitigen Tod. Die Zuckerindustrie versucht den Zusammenhang zwischen hohem Zuckerkonsum und bspw. Diabetes, Bluthochdruck, Herzinfarkt, Schlaganfall, Fettleber, Adipositas, um hier nur einige zu nennen, bis heute zu verschleiern. Bereits in den 70er Jahren, als der britische Ernährungswissenschaftler John Yudkin in seinen Forschungen zum Zucker publizierte, wie schädlich dieser sei, startete die Zuckerindustrie ihren Gegenangriff. Sie finanzierte Forschungen, die Yudkin direkt widersprachen. Für viel Geld engagierte sie unter anderem den amerikanischen Arzt Ancel Keys. Sobald Yudkin einen Artikel publizierte, schrieb Keys einen, der dessen Thesen widerlegte. So verpasste die Zuckerindustrie ihrem Zucker jahrzehntelang eine weiße Weste, indem sie die Forschung korrumpierte. Der schwarze Peter wurde dem Fett übergeholfen. Bis zum heutigen Tage gibt es sogenannte „Light-Produkte“, denen oft als Austausch für das Fett, mehr Zuckerstoffe zugesetzt sind. Überhaupt gehen ca. 80 % des industriell hergestellten Zuckers in die weiterführende Nahrungsmittelindustrie. Der Zucker wird Fertigprodukten zugesetzt und landet anschließend, für Viele unbemerkt, auf unserem Teller. Dabei ist bereits der Verbrauch an offensichtlichen Zuckerprodukten enorm und liegt durchschnittlich weit über der durch die WHO empfohlenen Höchstgrenze von 25g pro Tag. Weiterhin nehmen gesüßte Getränke einen nicht unerheblichen Teil unseres Zuckerkonsums ein. Viele Menschen denken, wenn sie einen „nur aus eigener Fruchtsüße“ hergestellten Saft konsumieren, tun sie sich etwas Gutes. Sie sind sich nicht bewusst, wieviel Zucker sie mit einem Glas Saft konsumieren. Oder unser Konsum von Getreideprodukten! Die meisten Backwaren bestehen aus isolierten Kohlenhydraten. Das Getreidekorn wurde ausgesiebt, die wertvollen Randschichten und der Keim entfernt, gerade die Teile,welche Vitamine, Mineralien, Spurenelemente, Ballaststoffe enthalten. Diese benötigt unser Körper zur Verwertung des Getreides. Übrig bleibt ein gluten-lastiges Mehl und daraus die hergestellte Backware. Unser Körper nutzt aus seiner Not heraus, zur Verdauung der Auszugsmehlprodukte die vorhandenen Reserven an Vitaminen, Mineralien und Spurenelementen aus unserem Körper. Sind diese irgendwann nach Jahren aufgebraucht, entstehen die ersten Krankheiten. Meiner Meinung nach ist dies unter anderem ein wichtiger Punkt für die stetige Zunahme von nicht angeborener Zöliakie. Fakt ist, Wissen habe ich so einiges angesammelt. Dadurch habe ich in meiner Ernährungsweise viel geändert. Nur, der Zucker macht abhängig. Und ich bin ein bekennender Zucker-Junkie! Aus Gesprächen mit Bekannten weiß ich, ich bin mit dem Problem nicht allein. Und bekanntlich lässt es sich gemeinsam leichter angehen. Sich austauschen, neue Informationen vermitteln, Jeden da abholen, wo er gerade steckt, sich gegenseitig unterstützen- das ist mein Anliegen! „Zucker ist ein Gift!“, das sagen beispielsweise Ärzte, wie der amerikanische Kinderarzt Robert Lustig oder der deutsche Ernährungsmediziner Matthias Riedel!
